Known as the “Biggest Small Town Race in the USA”, the Eau Claire Marathon impresses runners year after year. The Eau Claire Marathon is well organized, supports our community, is family-friendly and has a beautiful course which makes this one of the BEST races in the midwest.
Events include a Boston qualifying marathon, a half marathon, a four-person marathon relay, a 5k, a 10k, the Cheri Uelmen’s Fantastically Fun Kid’s Run, Cheri’s Crazy Challenge, and, a G-Eau Big and G-Eau Bigger Challenge.
Eau Claire Marathon Race Series mission is to organize, promote, and deliver running events that safely create running, social, and charitable opportunities in the community.
Eau Claire can’t say no to a party, and the Eau Claire Marathon is no exception. With bands, DJs and plenty of designated cheering parties, the love and encouragement of the city will give you that extra push you may need. If you’re not running, there’s still plenty of fun to be had at this marathon. Cheer along the Chippewa and Eau Claire Rivers or be the first to buy the “congratulatory pints glasses” at our local breweries. You definitely won’t want to forget your homemade sign and cowbells to cheer on the runners with. Click here to read some of the best places to watch the race!

Event Details
Please join the Pfrimmer Family and the Rochester and Stout Running Communities in the first annual Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Run and Walk on Saturday, August 10th.
All proceeds from this event will go to the Lance Pfrimmer Memorial Scholarship, supporting students who ran track and field and/or cross country in high school with a preference to students who are still running while pursuing a post-secondary degree.
This event and scholarship were created in loving memory of Lance Pfrimmer, who we lost far too soon. His friends & family created this event to honor his memory and continue his legacy of sportsmanship, positivity, and athleticism.
The event on August 10th will start and end at the Eagle’s Club (917 15th Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904) and consists of two distances: an 8K Run and a 1 Mile Walk.
Our 8K route will feature a loop on the Mayo High School track, where Lance spent many of his days. Both routes will pass by the location of a soon to be installed memorial bench.
Participants will enjoy post-run refreshments as well as the option to purchase food and beverages from the Eagle’s Club. There will also be a silent auction.
