Running mantra: Get It Done — or some version of this idea. Wording may change, and it may become more colorful the hotter the temps and the longer the race or workout. π
How running has changed me:
Running calms me in a way nothing else can. It’s a huge stress reliever, and I’m pretty lost without it when I can’t run. Running in Rochester has been probably the main way I have met people and made friends. I am thankful for the Saturday Morning Training Runs, where I met my main running “peeps”.
Why I joined RRC:
For the Saturday morning runs, as a way to volunteer, because I want to give back to others and encourage their running because I believe it helps many people, both socially, emotionally, and physically.
Why I run:
Stress reliever, also it’s a great way to learn about your local environment — on foot!
When I run:
Summertime – first thing in the morning
Wintertime – treadmill after work
Spring and Fall – whenever I can t it in
Where I run:
All over the place — I really appreciate all the many, lovely bike trails in Rochester, especially in the spring with the beautiful blooming trees.
When I run, my must have:
Oiselle pocket shorts are quite nice — not sure, but I may be obsessed with them π
My running goal:
I run for fun and to clear my mind. Maybe I should have more specific goals, but right now running is my escape.
