Training Schedules

Whether you’re running a 5k, 10k, relay, half marathon, or marathon, there are suggested training plans that can help make training easier.

Off Season Striders

Off Season Striders are informal year-round group runs on Sundays and Saturdays (excluding Saturday mornings when Saturday Morning Training Runs are in season).  OSS meeting locations vary, as do run paces. There is something for everyone! OSS is open to anyone (RRC membership is not required).

Interested in OSS?  Sign up for the weekly emails using the button below or keep an eye on RRC’s Events page or on RRC’s Facebook page.

Community Running Groups

Team R.E.D.

If you’re looking to run a few miles and have some great conversations, this group is for you!  Team R.E.D. members meet a few times a week at local establishments. Folks gather for a run then continue the conversations over food and drinks.  All paces and abilities welcome.

Chatty Chicks & Dashing Dudes

This laid back group of ladies is perfect for those who are looking for a relaxed atmosphere.  The Chicks organize through Facebook. Runs are typically on Saturday mornings. (Men are welcome as well!)

Girls on the Run MN

Elementary-age girls meet after school to prepare for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.  During the 10 week course, girls learn lessons about healthy friendships, teamwork, decision-making, more while training for a 5K.

Trail Running

SE MN Trail Runners

Like the SE MN Trail Runners on Facebook to find out where our next adventure will be. We run every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. on different trails near Rochester. When there is snow on the trails, we snowshoe. You will be amazed at how many beautiful trails are within just a few minutes of Rochester.

Upper Midwest Trail Runners

Our members like to run on dirt, grass, gravel, rocks, mud, snow—really, any trail that isn’t paved. We want to encourage more people to run trails and have fun before, during, and after runs.
